History of MTL

1951

Muang Thai Life Assurance was formally established on 6 April 1951 and was the first life insurance company to have received the Royal benevolence in granting the appointment as the life insurance company of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Muang Thai Life Assurance expanded the scope of business by adding non-life insurance which was Muang Thai Insurance (MTI).

2004

Muang Thai Life Assurance collaborated with business partners such as Fortis Insurance International N.V. and Kasikornbank Public Company Limited as well as launched the Muang Thai Smile Club program.

Kasikornbank Public Company Limited increased the shareholding proportion in the Company in order to enhance the potential for developing the Bancassurance channel in full scale.

On 1 October 2012, Muang Thai Life Assurance converted to public company limited and is an organization that truly upholds good corporate governance.
