MTL cares for the customers so we shorten the waiting period to only 14 days after the effective date of the riders with coverage for medical expenses and daily compensation benefit according to the coverage of your riders due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection.

For the individual customers of Muang Thai Life Assurance PCL who have riders with inpatient medical expense benefit, outpatient medical expense benefit and daily compensation benefit attached to ordinary and unit-linked life insurance policies which have been approved from 28 May 2021 – 31 December 2021 


Term & Conditions

For the individual customers who have riders with inpatient medical expense benefit, outpatient medical expense benefit and daily compensation benefit attached to ordinary and unit-linked life insurance policies of Muang Thai Life Assurance PCL with the following additional conditions:

- Insurance plans eligible for the extra coverage include those with coverage for inpatient medical expense benefit, outpatient medical expense benefit and daily compensation benefit such as Elite Health Rider, D Health Rider, Extra Care Rider, Smart Health Rider, Diamond Care Health Rider, Hospital & Surgical Benefit Health Rider (H&S), Hospital & Surgical Benefit Health VIP Rider, Lump Sum Health Rider, Premium Health Care Rider, Outpatient Treatment Rider (OPD), Hospital Daily Benefit Health Rider (HB), Government Officer Happy Health Rider, Juvenile Health Rider (0-5 years old), HIP Health Rider, Surgical Benefit Protection Rider, Takaful Hospital & Surgical Benefit Health Rider, Takaful Hospital Daily Benefit Health Rider, etc.

- The Company shall provide the coverage for illness due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection occurred 14 days after the rider effective date or the last renewal date of the rider, whichever is the latest.

- In case the rider is effective or reinstated after 31 December 2021, the Company reserves the right not to shorten the waiting period to 14 days after the reinstatement date for medical expenses and daily compensation benefit according to the coverage of your riders due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection.

- Exclusions : 
Coverage in case the insured had an illness due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 infection which has not been cured before the effective date of health rider or outpatient treatment endorsement. It is subject to the pre-existing conditions.

- The Company shall pay the extra benefit according to the actual expenses but not exceeding the benefit stated in your insurance policy. The Company shall pay the benefit only after receiving the valid evidence of an illness.

- Conditions are as specified by the Company.

- Please study coverage details, conditions and exclusions before making a decision to purchase insurance.

Claim Services

- The customers can make a claim request according to the methods specified in the health rider you are holding. For more information, please call Tel. 1766. (Remark: Fax claim is subject to each hospital’s internal procedures.)
- Required claim documents include Coronavirus Disease 2019 infection diagnosis result/ copy of ID card/ medical certificate/ receipt for hospitalization expenses
