Itchy rash can happen to anyone, and it also leads to small bumps appearing on any part of the body. There are many reasons, such as airborne allergies, insect bites and stings and allergy to allergens. 2. Chronic itching: It is the itching which has lasted for more than 1 week to several months and has not completely cured. It should be examined for the cause and receive appropriate treatment with a dermatologist.


Common types of rashes


1. Atopic dermatitis: It is a chronic disease that causes dry skin, blisters, itchy rashes and skin inflammation.

2. Contact dermatitis: Contact Dermatitis causes itchy rashes, dry, peeling skin. Sometimes, there may be bumps on the skin, swollen, red skin and a burning sensation. It usually occurs after the skin comes into contact with an allergen or substances that cause irritation.

3. Hives: Hives is a raised, red and swollen rash, both acute and chronic, caused by the body reacting to an allergen.

4. Psoriasis: It is a chronic skin disease caused by an immune system disorder that causes skin cells to divide abnormally quickly.

5. Heat rash: It is a small red itchy rash and often found in the neck, armpits, crook of the arms, and groin. It can be found at all ages, but it is more common in infants.

6. Ringworm: Ringworm is caused by a fungal infection that lives in the outer layer of the skin, causing a circular or red oval itchy rash with white flakes around.

7. Inflammatory rash that occurs between the skin folds: It is from friction in the folds of the skin, such as the folds on the neck, abdomen, armpits, under the breasts, groin and crotch of the fingers.

8. Blisters: It appear as a itchy and red rash and may turn into pustules that burst out or scabbed wounds. It could be found around the nose, mouth, hands, and feet, caused by bacterial infection.

9. Chickenpox: It is caused by a viral infection that causes small red bumps on the skin and itchiness. In time, it will become a blister that can burst.

10. Drug allergy rash: It is a side effect caused by an allergic reaction to certain drugs, such as antibiotics and diuretics.

Itchy rash can be caused by many reasons. Some people have itchy rash that spreads after scratching or a rash with small and clear blisters.


1. Skin diseases, such as dry skin caused by age, weather or diseases, such as allergic rashes, ringworm, tinea versicolor, chicken pox, dermatitis, hives, psoriasis, rashes from insect bites, mosquito bites, fungal skin infections, dry skin, scabies, as well as itching from allergic reactions to substances that come into contact with the skin.


2. Other body system diseases, such as chronic kidney failure, jaundice, chronic hepatitis, diabetes, anemia, hyperthyroidism, blood cancer, lymphoma or the presence of certain types of parasites in the body. Also, it can be caused by medicines taken.


3. Neurological diseases: Itching may be found in peripheral neuropathy from shingles, diabetes, and brain tumors. However, these causes are rare.


4. Psychological causes, such as patients who believe they have parasites in their skin, have obsessive-compulsive disorder or have depression.


However, some patients may experience multiple causes of itching together. Some patients with itching, even though the doctor has done a thorough examination of the cause, may not be diagnosed with a clear causes, especially in patients who only have itching without a skin rash.
