Starting from the New Year, the filing of personal income tax returns for the year 2023 began on 1 January 2024. You can submit your paper tax returns at the Revenue Department offices until 31 March 2024. Online tax filing is available until 8 April 2024. Filing your taxes online in 2023 is a quick method that saves you the trip to the Revenue Department. Documents Required for Online Tax Deductions in 2023
Filing personal income tax returns is divided into two forms: Form P.N.D. 91 for those who only have income from employment, such as salary, wages, allowances, and bonuses and Form P.N.D. 90 for those who have income from employment alone or other types of income as well.
You can file your taxes online at efiling.rd.go.th. Click on "Online Filing" which is available until 8 April 2024. Before you file your taxes, ensure you have all the necessary documents ready, such as:
- Withholding Tax Certificate (Form 50 Tawi): A document showing total income for the year after deductions for funds or reserves.
- Full tax invoices from product or service purchases.
- A list of tax deductions accumulated throughout the year: For example, parental support, child support, etc.
- Supporting documents for tax deductions to help fill out the tax filing form: Examples include the amount invested in funds, life and health insurance premiums, or expenses for purchasing goods or services, etc.
Start with the online tax filing process for 2023
Step 1: Access the Revenue Department’s Website
Go to the Revenue Department’s website and select the online filing menu. For first-time users without an account, click on "Register." The system will prompt you to fill in your personal details such as ID card number (Taxpayer Identification Number), date of birth, Laser ID (in the back of ID card), address, email, and create a password for accessing the E-filing system to file taxes online.
Step 2: Log in to the Revenue Department’s E-filing System
Log in to the E-filing system by entering your ID card number in the username field, along with your password, and click “OK.” Then, verify your identity using the phone number you provided. The system will send an OTP code to your current phone number. If you have changed your phone number, update it and request a new OTP.
Step 3: Select the Income Tax Form P.N.D. 90/91
Read and accept the terms and conditions for using the Revenue Department's electronic services. Then click "Login" and select the income tax form for individuals, P.N.D. 90/91.
Step 4: Enter Taxpayer Information
Check the taxpayer’s information, including the Taxpayer Identification Number, full name, date of birth, and contact address. Then, select your status and click "Next."

Step 5: Enter Income Information
Enter your income details using the information from the Withholding Tax Certificate (Form 50 Tawi). Also, fill in the tax payer's ID number of the company you work for.
For those who changed jobs during the year, request a Withholding Tax Certificate (Form 50 Tawi) from your previous employer to complete your income tax filing. If you have other income sources besides employment, such as freelance work, general contracting, independent professional services, income from assets, business activities, investments, or inheritance, include those as well. After entering your income details, click "Next."
Step 6: Enter Deduction Information
Enter the various deductions you are entitled to, such as parental support, child support, provident fund contributions, social security contributions, life insurance premiums, health insurance premiums, amounts invested in SSF, RMF, Thai ESG funds, and donations, etc. Once you’ve entered all your deductions, click "Next."
Step 7: Review Information
Review all the income and deduction information you’ve entered. The system will automatically calculate the tax amount due. If you have already paid tax, the system will notify you of any overpaid tax, which you can request a refund for, or allocate it to support political parties. After reviewing all the information, click "Next."
Step 8: Confirm Submission
Once all the information is reviewed, click "Confirm Submission" to complete the online individual income tax filing process.

The sooner you file, the sooner you’ll receive your tax refund, preserving your financial benefits and allowing you to plan your finances better.
