MTL and Muang Thai Yim Foundation Deliver Blankets, Sharing Care and Warmth with Remote Communities

Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited together with Muang Thai Yim Foundation organized blanket distribution activity under “Warmth with Muang Thai Life Assurance” Project to pass on warmth and relieve hardship for people affected by cold weather and disasters.

On this occasion, Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, delivered blankets to provide warmth to the “Hom Rak” project of Broadcast Thai Television Company Limited, which the Company has supported continuously for the 13th year. This year, the Hom Rak project delivered blankets to provide warmth to people in Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province, with Dr. Arunosha Bhanupan, Managing Director of Broadcast Thai Television Company Limited, as the recipient.

In addition, Muang Thai Life Assurance also delivered blankets to provide warmth to the People Station program of Thai PBS Television Station for the 12th consecutive year to support the “People Station Mobile for Children in Remote Areas” project at Ban Nabong School, Bo Kluea District, Nan Province. The objective is to pass on blankets and encouragement to more than 2,000 households in the area, with Ms. Kanda Champathip, Editor of the People Station program, and Ms. Thidarat Anantakitti, Host of the People Station program, as the recipients.

The blankets delivered under the project were produced by Ban Wat Chak Daeng Sufficiency Economy Community Enterprise through an upcycling process. Each blanket uses 11 plastic bottles of 1-liter size, with a thickness of 280 GSM (grams per square meter). The “Warmth with Muang Thai Life Assurance” project for the year 2025 can reduce plastic bottle waste totaling 15,708 bottles, and the number of blankets is equivalent to planting 157.08 large trees, reflecting operations in accordance with the circular economy concept in a concrete manner.

At the event, Mr. Pramote Sakkumjorn, Senior Executive Vice President of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, and Mrs. Phittraporn Punyaratabandhu, Vice Chairperson of Muang Thai Yim Foundation, attended as representatives to present blankets for protection against cold weather to media partner organizations, enabling the assistance to be passed on to people in various communities.

This activity reflects the commitment of Muang Thai Life Assurance and Muang Thai Yim Foundation to operating with social responsibility under the concept of “Delivering Happiness to Every Life,” by enhancing the quality of life of people in all dimensions through providing warmth, care, and assistance to those in remote areas or affected by various situations, together with standing beside Thai society in strengthening communities and jointly driving sustainable social development.
