Muang Thai Life Assurance has launched its strategy for 2025: “Boost Your Happiness by Our People”. The goal is to enhance your happiness with our people through coverage that suits every lifestyle at every stage of life, alongside seamless service experiences. This is driven by our unwavering commitment to steady, sustainable development with a customer-first approach.


Mr. Sara Lamsam, CEO of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited (MTL), stated that, in 2024, Muang Thai Life Assurance continued to deliver happiness and smiles, relentlessly meeting the needs of our customers in every stage of life. We sincerely thank all our ‘valued customers’ for their trust and confidence, which enabled us to achieve strong growth in the past year. Our total premium income reached over 71,800 million Baht, with a 13% growth in new premiums. Growth was particularly strong in key products such as ShieldLife (whole life insurance, term life insurance, and universal life insurance), which grew by 42%, and critical illness protection (individual policy), which grew by 24%. Meanwhile, our NPS (Net Promoter Score) improved from 58 to 75. Our business in the CLMV region continues to perform outstandingly as well.


The Company’s capital adequacy ratio at the end of 2024 was over 350%, well above the regulatory minimum requirement of 140%. The Company has also received credit ratings and financial strength ratings from S&P Global Ratings at BBB+ (Stable Outlook), and from Fitch Ratings at A- and AAA (tha) (Stable Outlook).


In 2025, Muang Thai Life Assurance continues to strengthen its identity as a brand that creates lasting happiness and smiles, further enhancing the delivery of happiness through the strategy, “Boost Your Happiness by Our People.” The Company will continue its organizational development across all areas, with a unified goal: to deliver happiness to all customers through Professionalism & Expertise, Transparency & Convenience, and Commitment & Trust. This will be achieved through the development of products that suit every lifestyle at every stage of life, seamless experience service, and a lifelong commitment, all working together perfectly to meet the needs of every customer.


The Company is also advancing its organizational development by enhancing employee and salesforce capabilities, increasing their skills in data & AI literacy, soft skills, expert knowledge, and cross-domain expert knowledge. At the same time, the Company focuses on creating happiness internally, ensuring that our diverse team works harmoniously together, all with the shared goal of “delivering happiness to our valued customers”.


Our people are ready to deliver happiness to our customers through comprehensive planning for every stage of life, including financial planning, retirement planning, health planning, and estate planning. This is supported by coverage that meets every lifestyle, whether it's life insurance, annuity life insurance, health and critical illness insurance, accident insurance, or investment-linked life insurance. Additionally, we offer special features such as modular design for flexible coverage options, convertible options that adapt to customers' life stages, and expanded coverage options (Plus).


Our people are also ready to provide a seamless experience through various service channels. Customers can access insurance anytime and anywhere, through channels such as agents, banking, telesales, online platforms, and various partners. We also provide complete, easy-to-access services through branches, Call Center Tel. 1766, MTL Click application, Muang Thai Smile Club, and MTL Fit. Furthermore, customers enjoy added convenience through policy transactions and after-sales services, including e-Payment and e-Document systems.


Mr. Sara Lamsam stated that the life insurance business is one that provides long-term protection for customers. Therefore, Muang Thai Life Assurance places great importance on conducting business sustainably at every step, under strong corporate governance and appropriate risk management. The Company aims to strike a balance between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions. Specifically, in the social dimension, the Company continues to develop insurance products that help democratize life insurance and make it accessible to everyone. The Company also focuses on promoting financial and insurance literacy for the general public, as well as supporting activities for sustainable health care.


Regarding the environmental dimension, Muang Thai Life Assurance, as part of the global community, has supported environmental conservation and mitigating the impacts of climate change to contribute to the transformation of our world. The Company has announced its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions, with a target to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions from its operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030, in order to minimize the environmental impact of its business activities.

Remark: *Definition of greenhouse gas emissions calculation

Scope 1 refers to direct greenhouse gas emissions from the organization’s activities, including stationary combustion (e.g., machinery), mobile combustion (e.g., vehicles owned by the organization), and leakage or spillages of chemicals from processes or activities, etc.

Scope 2 refers to indirect greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption (energy indirect emissions), including purchased energy used by the organization, such as electricity or other imported energy sources like steam, heat, cooling, and compressed air, etc.
