Muang Thai Life Assurance and the Muang Thai Yim Foundation jointly donated 11 phlegm suction machines to the Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. These machines will be used in training programs for elderly rights protection caregivers, a course aimed at creating careers and developing skills for the public—especially women and vulnerable families—so they can become qualified elderly caregivers.

This project is held to mark the 11th anniversary of the Muang Thai Yim Foundation and is a collaboration with Muang Thai Life Assurance to extend MTL’s sustainable business practices in environmental, social, governance, and economic (ESG) dimensions. The social dimension especially focuses on promoting the quality of life for all groups in society, particularly those with fewer opportunities. Additionally, the project supports the government’s role in raising the standards of elderly care in Thai society. The phlegm suction machines donated are essential medical devices for caring for elderly and bedridden patients. They will be used as practical training tools in the elderly caregiver course, equipping trainees with the proper skills needed for real-world application upon completion.

Training for elderly caregivers is a comprehensive form of social care that yields multifaceted benefits across economic, social, and public health dimensions. The direct benefit is the creation of careers and income opportunities for program participants. Indirectly, it elevates the standards of elderly care within families and communities, helps reduce the burden on the public health system, and promotes the development of a quality and sustainable aging society in Thailand. Those interested in participating in the training can inquire for more information at the Promotion and Development Division, Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, at phone number 02-306-8767. Training centers are available at 12 locations nationwide.

The donation ceremony was honored by the presence of Mrs. Jatuporn Rojanapanich, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ms. Ramrung Worawat, Director-General of the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, and Mrs. Pornnipa Masilirangsee, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Older Persons. Representatives from Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited included Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Phittraporn Punyaratabandhu, Vice Chairwoman of the Muang Thai Yim Foundation, and Mr. Pramote Sakkumjorn, Senior Executive Vice President, who jointly presented 11 phlegm suction machines.

Muang Thai Life Assurance and the Muang Thai Yim Foundation continue to promote social opportunities through support for activities in public health, education, and career development under the concept of “Sustainable Giving.” This approach aims to generate benefits at the individual, family, and societal levels, serving as a vital role in driving Thailand’s sustainable and resilient social growth. This commitment further reinforces the Muang Thai Yim Foundation’s 11-year slogan: “Together, Creating Smiles for Thai Society.”
