Muang Thai Life Assurance-Department of Older Persons-Sarnsara Staff Participate in Caregiver Training Program for the Elderly

Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited recognizes the significance of Thailand's transition into an ageing society. Therefore, in collaboration with the Department of Older Persons, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, it organized the Caregiver Training Program for the Elderly. This program consists of an 18-hour introductory course on elderly care, provided to staff from various divisions working at the Sarnsara Learning Center, Muang Thai Life Assurance, Ratchaburi province. The participants included security officers, systems technicians, housekeeping and accommodation staff, and landscape maintenance staff. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of “Muang Thai Life Assurance” staff, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for elderly care. The training encourages them to apply these skills to effectively care for elderly family members and those within their communities. The program focuses on providing participants with essential skills and knowledge related to elderly care, covering topics such as time management and financial planning for the elderly, general knowledge about the elderly, welfare rights for the elderly, psychological approaches to elderly mental health care, health promotion, basic first aid for the elderly, common illnesses and age-related syndromes, nutrition and dietary needs for the elderly, and basic skills in elderly care.
