Muang Thai Life Assurance Enhances Care for Thai Children through Pediatric Cardiology Center Renovation at Chulalongkorn Hospital
July 02, 2025

Muang Thai Life Assurance is advancing its commitment to social sustainability by supporting the renovation of the Pediatric Cardiology Center at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society. This project aims to improve the quality of healthcare for Thai children to keep pace with modern technology and international standards, underscoring MTL’s dedication to sustainable business practices alongside social responsibility, in line with Thailand’s sustainable development goals.
Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, stated that MTL’s financial support for the renovation of the Pediatric Cardiology Center reaffirms its commitment to giving back to society and enhancing the quality of life for the Thai people.—especially children and youth, who represent the nation’s future. This project focuses on developing a more appropriate, modern, and safer medical treatment environment. The project will bring multiple benefits, including:
Upgrading the quality of medical treatment: The renovation will equip Chulalongkorn Hospital with more modern tools and facilities, allowing the hospital to accommodate a greater number of pediatric patients and deliver medical services more efficiently, reducing waiting times and increasing opportunities for children with complex illnesses to access quality healthcare.
Creating a healing-friendly environment: The redesign and renovation of spaces — including examination rooms, inpatient wards, and activity areas — to better suit children's needs will help ease anxiety and fear for both young patients and their parents. A child-friendly and welcoming atmosphere contributes positively to the emotional well-being and recovery process of the patients.
Supporting medical education and research: The Pediatric Center also serves as a hub for teaching and research within the Department of Pediatrics. The upgrades will enhance its capacity as a center for learning and the development of pediatric medical personnel. This will play a vital role in advancing medical knowledge and innovation in the long term.
In addition, this support reflects MTL’s ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, particularly in the social dimension, which emphasizes improving quality of life, promoting well-being, and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services for all. This project, therefore, is not merely a physical infrastructure improvement — it also contributes to strengthening social infrastructure, which serves as a vital foundation for the country’s sustainable development.
On this occasion, Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, officially handed over the renovated Pediatric Cardiology Center at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, located on the 6th floor of Sor Kor Building, Department of Pediatrics.
