Muang Thai Life Assurance and the Muang Thai Yim Foundation, led by Pol. Gen. Pornsak Durongkavibul, Chairman of the Muang Thai Yim Foundation, and Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance PCL, reaffirmed their commitment to social contribution and ESG initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of Thai youth in remote areas by providing continuous financial support to the Royal Thai Border Patrol Police Headquarters.

Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance PCL (MTL), shared that MTL and the Muang Thai Yim Foundation continue to uphold their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in alignment with MTL’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework. The initiative focuses particularly on the Social (S) dimension, emphasizing the improvement of quality of life and expanding opportunities for youth in remote areas. For 2025, MTL provided total funding of 1,634,654.33 Baht to the Royal Thai Border Patrol Police Headquarters, supporting two major projects as follows:

1. Scholarship Support Project – Providing scholarships to 20 lower secondary school students with outstanding academic performance but limited financial means. Each scholarship is valued at 34,200 Baht, totaling 684,000 Baht, with the objective of promoting educational opportunities and accessibility for underprivileged youth while inspiring them to fully develop their potential.

2. Kindergarten Building Construction Project – Supporting the construction of a new kindergarten classroom building at Heiang Thai Thamrong Border Patrol Police School, located in Mae Sao Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, with a total budget of 950,654.33 Baht. The project aims to create a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment that supports the development of early childhood foundational skills, which are essential for lifelong learning.

This support not only assists underprivileged students under the Border Patrol Police and enhances educational facilities in remote areas, but also represents a key element of MTL’s core policy — giving back to society and promoting equality in line with the MTL’s ESG principles, particularly the Social (S) – Social Responsibility dimension. It reflects MTL’s strong commitment to improving the quality of life for all Thais through continuous efforts to expand educational opportunities and foster sustainable community development.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Pol. Lt. Gen. Nitinai Langyanai, Commissioner of the Royal Thai Border Patrol Police, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wanchana Thammasema, Deputy Commissioner of the Border Patrol Police, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Jennarong Somsatian, Commander of the Administration Division, Border Patrol Police Headquarters (far left). The event was held at the Chulapram Building, Border Patrol Police Headquarters.

Since 2014, Muang Thai Life Assurance and the Muang Thai Yim Foundation have continuously supported the Border Patrol Police through various initiatives, including 384 scholarships totaling over 13 MB, the construction of seven school buildings and student dormitories valued at over 6.4 MB, and water system development projects for consumption, agriculture, and school lunch programs worth nearly 0.55 MB. In total, the contributions amount to over 20 MB.

“MTL firmly believes that education is the foundation of social development and the key to long-term sustainability. Therefore, MTL places great importance on conducting business alongside efforts to enhance the quality of life of Thai children, youth, and communities. This commitment aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and MTL’s ESG policies, with the aim of building a society that grows with stability, prosperity, and sustainability,” concluded Mr. Sara Lamsam.

Muang Thai Life Assurance continues to carry out meaningful and beneficial activities as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Thai society.
