FAQ

Q : Why do I have to buy D Care?
A : D Care allows you to choose your own coverage for critical illnesses and stages as well as sum insured.
- The insurance applicant can purchase more than 1 D Care contract. Under 1 contract, the insurance applicant can choose coverage for 1 critical illness group and 1 stage. However, the insurance applicant cannot choose critical illness groups with Top Hits group.
- The insurance applicant can choose critical illness stage under the coverage e.g. early stage – late stage, or only late stage.
- Coverage varies based on critical illness stage.
Coverage for early stage and late stage receives the maximum coverage of 200% with the 2 criteria: 1. If an early- stage disease is diagnosed, the insured shall receive 100% of the benefit and the remaining 100% of the benefit shall be paid once a late- stage disease is diagnosed; 2. Before claiming the benefit of an early- stage disease, if a late- stage disease is diagnosed, 200% of the benefit shall be paid.
Coverage for late stage only at 100%.

Q: Does D Care need to be purchased to attach to a new life insurance policy only? Can it be attached to an existing insurance policy which is in force?
A:  It can be attached to an existing policy or a new policy. However, such insurance policy (base contract) must have minimum sum insured of 50,000 Baht. In this regard, it is subject to condition of minimum sum insured of each insurance plan. Moreover, coverage period from the application date must be more than 1 year.

Q: Can the insured cancel coverage of D Care for specific group of critical illnesses under the same policy?
