Privacy Notice for Speakers
Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited and its affiliated companies, which include any companies or other organizations that control, are controlled by, or are under control of the Company, which may have the same majority shareholders or directors (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Company”), recognize the rights to privacy and the Company’s responsibilities in relation to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data of speakers (hereinafter collectively referred to as “you”), and/or the submission or transfer of your personal data to other persons.
The Company upholds the value that the trust and confidence you have with us are one of the most important things for us. The Company is committed to correctly and properly processing and protecting your personal data. Hence, building your understanding regarding the approach and process of collecting, using, processing, and disclosing personal data is another important issue for the Company. You must read and fully understand this Privacy Notice for Speakers (“Notice”) as follows.
1. Personal Data Collected
The types of personal data that the Company collects, uses, and/or discloses will depend on the purpose for which you provide such information. The Company will collect only the personal data necessary for the purposes specified in this Notice. If you do not provide the personal data necessary for the Company’s operations, it may result in the Company being unable to proceed with the intended contractual purposes with you, or you may not receive certain entitlements from the Company. Examples of personal data that the Company may collect include:
1.1 Data required for transactions, including identification information such as name, surname, identification number, date of birth, gender, age, signature, and photograph, etc.; contact data such as address, telephone number, email, online chat, social media (Facebook/LINE ID/IG/Twitter, or others if applicable), etc.; employment and education data such as occupation, job position, affiliated organization, employment history, educational background and past training courses, etc.
1.2 Financial data, such as bank account number and type of account, and information related to transactions with the Company in connection with activities.
1.3 Data used or obtained from organizing activities, including your image and audiovisual data recorded from video cameras or computer programs, which may be able to identify you. We will provide notifications or signage when recording to inform you, Information about vehicles, and information on food consumed.
1.4 Sensitive personal data
The Company may collect sensitive personal data about your food allergies, religion, and health conditions, which are sensitive personal data. The Company will use your sensitive personal data to the extent necessary (e.g., providing safe food for you, arranging facilities and conveniences for religious activities). The Company will inform you of the collection and processing of such sensitive personal data and comply with applicable laws.
The Company may need to process data related to COVID-19, which may include sensitive personal data, for example, your symptoms, history of contact or proximity with COVID-19 patients, COVID-19 test results, vaccination history, for screening, control, and prevention of the disease, and reporting to authorized entities as required by law. The Company will handle and process your personal data with utmost care and in compliance with relevant laws to safeguard your personal data.
The Company has no intention to process sensitive personal data appearing on identification documents or documents used in transactions and/or contracts. The Company may carry out such actions itself by striking through or redacting your sensitive personal data without the need to inform you, or the Company may request you to strike through or redact your sensitive personal data yourself.
2. How We Collect or Obtain Your Personal Data
The Company will collect your personal data directly from you, which you may have provided or which may have been obtained during various activities, such as visual and audio data from participation in activities, information you provide in forms, applications, registration forms, questionnaires, data on your name card that you provided to us, information in documents that you provided to us, or through verbal and written communication with you. Except in certain cases, the Company may collect your data from other sources, such as your affiliated company, employees, secretaries, or coordinators, government agencies or state agencies, other persons who introduced you to the Company, sources of information about your business, commercial data sources, or public sources such as websites or information searchable on the internet.
In case you disclose personal data of other individuals to the Company, you certify and warrant the accuracy of such personal data, as well as certify and warrant that you have fully informed those individuals of the details set out in this Notice.
3. Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data
The Company uses your personal data to fulfil the purposes for which you provided the data, for the Company’s business management, and to enhance the experience between the Company and you. The Company uses your personal data for various purposes under the following lawful bases:

4. Methods of Personal Data Protection
The personal data collected by MTL will be processed fairly and accurately in accordance with the PDPA, B.E. 2562. The Company has implemented physical and electronic security measures to ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory standards for protecting your personal data. 5. Retention Period of Your Personal Data
The Company may retain and use your data for the aforementioned purposes in accordance with the law for a period not over 5 years from the date of recording the event, unless otherwise specified at the initial recording or as required by law.
6. Disclosure and Transfer of Your Personal Data
The Company has policies and procedures to maintain the security of personal data, and the Company restricts access rights to your personal data only to persons who need to use your data to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected. However, the Company may disclose your personal data to the following persons:
- The Company will disclose your data to third parties who are suppliers to the Company, such as information technology service providers that assist in the Company’s business operations, entities responsible for receiving/paying remuneration and benefits to you, hospitals, and travel or accommodation service providers. If the Company discloses data to external service providers, the Company will apply strict control measures to ensure appropriate data protection.
- The Company’s advisers or professional consultants, such as lawyers, accountants, insurers, independent appraisers related to the Company, as well as the Company’s auditors.
- The Company may disclose your data to financial institutions or payment system providers, such as financial institutions that provide payment systems for transactions between you and the Company.
- The Company may disclose your data to customers/suppliers if necessary for providing services to customers or if it is necessary to liaise with suppliers. For example, the Company may provide your contact details so that customers can contact you in relation to matters in which you are involved.
- The Company will disclose your data if it is required to comply with the law, such as in cases where laws, government agencies, law enforcement agencies, legally established committees, state agencies, or supervisory bodies require the Company to disclose such data, for example, the OIC, AMLO, Stock Exchange of Thailand, Thailand Securities Depository, Thailand Clearing House, courts, Royal Thai Police, Department of Special Investigation, Legal Execution Department, Revenue Department, Department of Business Development, land offices, and/or if the Company must disclose data as part of exercising legal claims, the Company may also disclose your data for important public interest purposes where such disclosure is necessary and proportionate, for example, the Company may provide your data to tax authorities.
- Any other persons or entities as necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Notice.
Your personal data may be transferred, transmitted, stored, or processed by the Company, or it may be sent to any persons or entities as described above, which may be located or provide services in Thailand or outside Thailand. The Company will establish standards in agreements and/or business contracts with the entities or organizations that will receive such personal data, in accordance with recognized standards of personal data protection and in compliance with applicable laws, to ensure that your personal data is securely protected.
7. Your Rights Based on Personal Data Protection Law
You have the right, as a data subject, to access data relating to you, to be informed about the existence and the extent of data processing, to rectify incorrect personal data (whichever the case may be), to make use of your personal data’s portability and to oppose further processing on serious and legitimate grounds. 8. Changes to the Privacy Notice
The Company reserves the right to amend this Notice at any time. In the event of any amendment to this Notice, the Company will update the information on the website https://www.muangthai.co.th/en/privacy-policy or through channels deemed appropriate by the Company.
