MARKET OUTLOOK

▶️ Investment Outlook

A concise view of key asset classes, their supporting factors, and the issues investors should monitor.

01

Global Equities

↗ Slightly Overweight

Upgraded to a slightly positive view, supported by continued global economic expansion and corporate earnings growth.

Although tensions in the Middle East continue to support energy prices and inflation, we believe the Federal Reserve has limited incentive to raise interest rates. The recent inflationary pressure has mainly been driven by energy costs and is beginning to ease, while the labor market is not overheating: new hiring has slowed and wage growth remains well below the pace seen in 2022.

Supporting factors: Global PMI remains above 50, while listed-company earnings—particularly in the United States—are expected to grow strongly. Earnings growth is also broadening beyond the technology sector into other industries.
02

Global Bonds

→ Neutral

Maintaining a neutral view, as current bond yields continue to provide attractive income during the holding period.

Current bond yields remain high enough to generate a steady income stream. Although the market may face pressure from increased government bond supply and technology-sector corporate issuance, the likelihood of continued Federal Reserve rate hikes is limited, helping to contain downside risk for bond prices.

Key issue to monitor: Government bond supply and technology-sector corporate issuance, which may put upward pressure on bond yields from time to time.
03

Asia-Pacific Equities ex Japan

↗ Slightly Overweight

Maintaining a slightly positive view, supported by AI-related growth opportunities and still-reasonable valuations.

Asia-Pacific equities excluding Japan benefit from the continued growth of AI, particularly in North Asian markets such as Taiwan and South Korea. Overall valuations remain reasonable. However, the indices are concentrated in large semiconductor names such as TSMC, Samsung, and SK Hynix, which may lead to higher volatility.

Recommended fund
ES-ALOVE-UH
Focuses on high-quality, dividend-paying equities with lower volatility than the broader market.
04

Thai Bonds

→ Neutral

Maintaining a neutral view, while continuing to use the asset class to help reduce overall portfolio volatility.

We expect the Bank of Thailand's Monetary Policy Committee to keep the policy rate at 1.00% throughout the year. Although long-term yields may fluctuate due to energy inflation and government fiscal pressures, Thai bonds remain an effective source of portfolio diversification.

Recommended fund
KFAFIX
Actively managed with a portfolio duration of no more than three years to help limit the impact of yield volatility.
View definitions: Slightly Overweight indicates a positive view and a modest allocation above the normal level. Neutral indicates maintaining the normal strategic allocation.
Note: Investment views may change in response to economic conditions, financial markets, and monetary policy. Investors should review the relevant fund information, prospectus, and risk level before making an investment decision.
