About the role:

We are rebuilding the company's web platform on a modern stack: React / Next.js for the front end, Payload CMS for content management, and Go services running on AWS.

This will be your first major area of responsibility, but not your only one. You will work across projects as priorities evolve and will be expected to take ownership of technical deliverables from requirement clarification through production release and post-release support.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who can independently turn business problems into practical technical solutions, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and remain accountable for the outcome after the code has been deployed.
We value engineering judgement, ownership, problem-solving and communication over an exact match to our current technology stack.

Project context

The role will initially support the development and modernization of the company's web platform, with a focus on:

• Building and enhancing the corporate web platform.
• Improving website performance, Core Web Vitals and user experience.
• Enabling business and marketing teams to manage content efficiently through CMS.
• Developing and integrating backend APIs and services.
• Integrating with internal and third-party systems.
• Improving scalability, maintainability, security and deployment processes.
• Supporting continuous delivery of new products, campaigns and business initiatives.

What you will do End-to-End Engineering Ownership

• Take ownership of assigned features or modules from requirement clarification through design, development, testing, release and post-production support.
  
• Translate business requirements into practical and maintainable technical solutions.
  
• Work closely with PM, BA, QA, UX/UI, Marketing, Business and other technical teams.
  
• Clarify assumptions, identify dependencies and raise technical risks early.
  
• Provide technical estimates and communicate potential impacts to project scope and timeline.
  
• Make appropriate technical decisions when requirements or implementation details are unclear.

Web Platform Development

• Build and maintain web applications using React / Next.js and TypeScript.
  
• Develop and maintain Payload CMS content models, collections, blocks and access roles.
  
• Build backend services and REST APIs using Go.
  
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, transactions and migrations.
  
• Integrate internal and third-party services where required.

Quality, Testing & Release

• Write maintainable, production-ready code with appropriate unit and integration tests.
  
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing and defect resolution.
  
• Participate in code reviews and ensure changes meet agreed quality and security standards.
  
• Take responsibility for CI/CD and production deployment of owned changes.
  
• Verify system behaviour after deployment and support post-release stabilization.

Cloud & Operations

• Deploy and operate services on AWS.
  
• Work with containers, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  
• Monitor application health and investigate production issues.
  
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation, deployment instructions and operational runbooks.

User Experience & Web Quality

Care about real user experience, including:

Technical foundation — Must Have

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  
• Demonstrated experience delivering production software and owning significant features or systems end-to-end.
  
• Strong experience in both front-end and back-end development.
  
• Deep experience in at least one typed programming language and one component-based front-end framework.
  
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including schema design, indexing, transactions and migrations.
  
• Production experience with cloud platforms and modern deployment practices.
  
• Experience with CI/CD and containerized applications.
  
• Strong Git and code review practices.
  
• Understanding of software security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, secrets management and OWASP-level awareness.
  
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  
• Demonstrated ability to learn and become productive in unfamiliar technologies or codebases.

We expect the successful candidate to become productive in the core stack within the first couple of months, with support from the existing engineering team where required.
